Luis Aparicio Collection - 1956 Topps
You can't have a player collection without the rookie card right? I was going through a box of my dad's cards before the holidays and came across this one. I knew he had it, I just hadn't seen it in awhile.
Behold the glory of Luis Aparicio's 1956 Topps rookie card:
It's in pretty good shape for being fifty-eight years old. Sure the corners are slightly rounded and there's some creasing by Luis's hat but I love it. A great card with a little character. Thanks, Dad!
This is one of my favorite cards of all time, the shot of him jumping and shouting for joy is what baseball is all about. Great pick up.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking card! Very nice! I wish my Dad had collected cards when he was a kid!
