# UH 57 - Ramon Castro

Back in December of 2010 we picked up a signed copy of Ramon Castro's 2008 Topps Gold Border Parallel. Pretty great except we didn't have his base card yet.

Ramon is a non-roster invitee for the Dodgers this year and he signed his base card for us at a Spring Training practice last week. I'm glad to be able to cross this one off the list.

# UH 328 - Billy Wagner

During that Billy Wagner private signing we were also able to get his All-Star card from the 2008 Topps Updates & Highlights set signed.

I was surprised to learn that Billy was a seven-time all-star during his career. His 422 saves puts him currently at fifth on the list of all-time saves leaders.

During the next few years there will be a lot of talk about closers and where they fit in the Hall of Fame. I think there's a good chance Billy gets in.

Here's another great addition to our 2008 Topps set.

Earlier this year a friend on SportsGraphing.com was holding a private signing with Billy Wagner to benefit Billy's charity. I responded right away and a few weeks later I got this great looking card back signed for our set.

# 171 - John Maine

Blog reader Dan has helped us out with some great signed 2008 Topps cards in the past. This time he's really out done himself. He sent over seven new cards. All of them are amazing!

Dan came through with another card that I've been trying to get signed for awhile now. John Maine resurfaced this Spring with the Boston Red Sox. He didn't make it out of extended spring training. I just found out he signed with the Yankees and made his first appearance for their Triple A team last week. Glad to have this one done with.

# 279 - Damion Easley

1998 American League All-Star, Damion Easley signed a card for our set. Damion is one of the "D-Backs Legends" who will be signing autographs at this year's All-Star Fan Fest. If you'd like to see the full list of who's participating, click here.

Unfortunatley it looks like Luis Aparicio will only be at Fan Fest on Sunday and Monday. We didn't buy tickets for those two days since we'll be busy with the Future's Game and Home Run Derby. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll change the schedule.

# 653 - Endy Chavez

The 2010 baseball season is well underway but we still have a handful of Spring Training autographs to catch up on.

My last day of trying to get autographs this spring turned out to be a good day with the Texas Rangers. I was able to get several players that I had missed earlier. One of which was of new Rangers outfielder, Endy Chavez.
