Daniel Hudson Collection - 2015 Topps Heritage

Along with Daniel Hudson's return to the mound for a full season in 2015 he got a few new baseball cards. My favorite is this 2015 Topps Heritage.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2012 Allen & Ginter Printing Plate Signed

I was able to get tickets for the Daniel Hudson autograph table at the Diamondbacks Fan Fest earlier this year. I brought along a few nice cards with me including my 2012 Allen & Ginter Cyan Printing Plate. It's the first plate from an A&G set that I own. Pretty cool.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2012 Topps Heritage Black Border Parallel

I haven't bought much on eBay recently but I'll still occasionally look to see what is available. Last week I saw this Daniel Hudson 2012 Topps Heritage black border parallel card for $1 shipped. I didn't have it so I quickly pulled the trigger.

Daniel Hudson Collection - Autographed 8x10 # 1

I was going through some of my dad's autographs last night and came across this signed photo of Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Daniel Hudson. Yep, the same Daniel Hudson that I have a player collection for. I vaguely remember getting this photo signed at the Diamondbacks Fan Fest in 2011. I was only able to date it because of the other photos it was with. This photo will now officially go down as the first signed 8x10 photo for our collection. Yes, there are more. Yes, I've done a blog post two days in a row. No, this probably isn't becoming a trend. Yes, check back tomorrow because I have another post pre-scheduled.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2013 Topps Cyan Printing Plate Signed

You may remember this card from a post back in February 2013. It looks a little different now.

I was able to get tickets for the Daniel Hudson autograph table at the Diamondbacks Fan Fest earlier this year. I brought along a few nice cards with me including my 2013 Topps Cyan Printing Plate.

After a short wait in line, Daniel signed it nicely in blue.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2008 Razor Letterman Plate

One of the benefits of not blogging for well over a year is I've got a few nice cards to show off. Now I didn't buy a ton of stuff during my absence but the few things I grabbed are pretty cool.

First up is this 2008 Razor Letterman Yellow Printing Plate for our Daniel Hudson collection. I got it earlier this year for a great price.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2014 Fan Fest 5x7

Man, I've been procrastinating on blog posts again. Since my last post I've been to a D-Backs autograph event, Fan Fest, and a spring training practice. I guess those are three pretty good excuses for not blogging.

The day before Fan Fest, I met up with Daniel from It's Like Having My Own Card Shop to get a few autographs. You can check out what he got here. We had a good time.

The next morning was D-Backs Fan Fest. It was also the preregistration sale for San Diego Comic Con badges. I chose to try my luck at SDCC badges instead of getting to Fan Fest early. I failed miserably. 

We got down to Chase Field later than I would have liked. The day wasn't lost because I was able to score autograph tickets for the afternoon autograph sessions during the online sale which took place on Friday.

My son and I got autographs from Miguel Montero, Addison Reed, Randall Delgado, and Alan Trammell at the regular autograph tables. We also hit up the alumni signing at the Game Seven Grill and got Brandon Webb, Shea Hillenbrand, and Augie Ojeda to sign a few cards. Afterward we checked out the last session for the kids' tables. We got Brad Ziegler, Dave McKay, and Daniel Hudson. There was no line for Huddy so I was able to talk to him for a minute. He gave me an extra Fan Fest 5x7 plus the one for my son. Thanks, Daniel!

They set a record for attendance so the lines for the games and other kids stuff were extremely long. We didn't get to do quite as much as we would have liked but that's okay. All in all it was a great time.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2011 Topps Marquee Gold

I already have three versions of this Acclaimed Impressions card but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to get one more. This is the gold version of Daniel Hudson's 2011 Topps Marquee card. It features two patches (from a White Sox jersey) and a sticker autograph. Oh and the best part is it's numbered to 5 on the front. This is my lowest serial numbered Huddy autograph so far.

Sorry. All of this purple got me thinking of Barney.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2010 Topps Finest Letterman

What does that spell? Hudson! Hudson! Gooooo Daniel Hudson!

Yah I know that was super lame but I wanted to do a separate post for each of these cards.

I've been working on this project for awhile. I posted the first letter "D" way back in November 2011. Since then I've slowly been collecting the others. The final letter "U" was part of my COMC Black Friday purchase. I was pretty excited when it arrived. It's good to finally have this one completed.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2012 Bowman Platinum Die-Cut Auto

Dang! This card is sweet. I liked the regular versions of these die-cuts from the 2012 Bowman Platinum set but the certified autos are even better. Sure it's a sticker auto but I can overlook that since its numbered 12/25 on the front. Another great addition to our Daniel Hudson collection. 

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2013 Topps Mini Gold Border Parallel

Think you've seen this Daniel Hudson gold border parallel card on our blog before? Nope. That was the regular sized gold border parallel. This is the mini. It's little and is numbered 62/62 on the back. eBay 1/1!!!

The gold border parallel is the classic parallel. It's where it all started and just has a royal feel to it. Like if Prince Henry had a baseball card collection, I'm sure he would just own gold border parallels.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2012 Topps Triple Threads Green Parallel

The design for the 2012 Topps Triple Threads set was great. Nice and simple with decent sized jersey swatches and an on card autograph. Almost perfect, right? I think so. I just wished they scanned better. That foilyness just doesn't come across well digitally.

This is Daniel Hudson's green parallel from the set. It's numbered 30/50 on the front. This is the third version of this card in our collection.

Daniel Hudson Collection - 2009 Kannapolis Intimidators

I've always liked minor league team sets. While I don't have a minor league team close by I've been able to pick up a few sets online or when traveling.

I found this Daniel Hudson card from the 2009 Kannapolis Intimidators team set for a great price. In fact the seller had a lot of three of the same card listed for a price I would have gladly paid for just one.

When I googled "Daniel Hudson Kannapolis Intimidators" an interesting article from Jonathan Mayo from MLB.com came up. He has a nice breakdown of Daniel's first season in pro baseball. It chronicles his journey from single a all the way to Chicago in just a few months. You can check that out here.
