A friend on SportsGraphing.com sent us this signed 2008 Topps card of Billy Butler for our set. It was announced yesterday that Billy has been chosen to be an All-Star for the first time. What's even more exciting is that he'll get to represent his home club since the game will be in Kansas City this year. Congrats, Billy! Hope you do well.

# 223 - Odalis Perez

Oh man for whatever reason I was a fan of Odalis Perez back during his time with the Dodgers. I think it was probably due to fantasy baseball. I vaguely remember picking him up off the scrap pile a few times and he would always deliver.

I don't remember his time in Kansas City at all. According to Wikipedia, he played there for parts of two season. I was also pleased to learn he was an All-Star in 2002.

A friend from SweetSpotGraphs.com was able to get us a few 08 Topps cards signed last season. His home team is the Kansas City Royals so all four cards are of players who were on the Royals at some point last year.

# UH 109 - Alberto Callaspo

A friend from SweetSpotGraphs.com was able to get us a few 08 Topps cards signed last season. His home team is the Kansas City Royals so all four cards are of players who were on the Royals at some point last year.

The second card is of infielder, Alberto Callaspo. Alberto started 2010 with the Royals but was traded to the Angels in July.

# 585 - Brian Bannister

Zach from Autograph Cards sent us a nice package last week. It included two 08 Topps cards he got signed at this year's Royals Fan Fest.

The second card was of Royals pitcher, Brian Bannister. A quick Google search just taught me that Brian is the oldest son of former All-Star pitcher Floyd Bannister.

# UH 156 - Mike Aviles

Zach from Autograph Cards sent us a nice package last week. It included two 08 Topps cards he got signed at this year's Royals Fan Fest.

The first card was of Royals shortstop, Mike Aviles. Injuries limited his playing time during 2009 but I remember he put up some big numbers in 2008. I even had him on my fantasy baseball team for most of the season.

Royals pitcher, Luke Hochevar quickly signed a card for our set. I sent this to Luke the morning he got called up from AAA and he already sent it back.

The blue Sharpie on the blue uniform didn't scan too well but this card looks great in person. Thanks, Luke!

I'm totally stoked to have this card. Joakim is quickly establishing himself as one of the better closers in the game.
