# UH 3 - Freddie Bynum

Awhile back Justin from Justin's World sent us this signed Freddie Bynum 2008 Topps card for our set.

I remember when Freddie was coming up in the A's organization about ten years ago. According to his Wikipedia page, he's still defending the faith in the Atlantic League.

Thanks, Justin!

Raiderdan from SweetSpotGraphs.com hooked us up with six more signed 08 Topps cards.

The next card he sent is of former Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jay Gibbons. Jay was practically out of baseball after the 2007 season but has made it back to the big leagues by playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers this year.

# 312 - Ramon Hernandez

Ramon Hernandez signed a card for our set. You may remember him from the 2003 All-Star game where he was selected to represent the Oakland A's.

Unfortunately the 2010 All-Star game selection show is on Sunday at the exact same time as the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Maybe I'll Tivo it.

# 51 - Brian Burres

It's kind of hard to believe that baseball card companies still have trouble putting a photo of the correct player on the front of their baseball card. In 2008, Topps mistakenly chose a photo of Brian Burres for Erik Bedard's card.

When we sent a request to Brain during Spring Training we sent his regular card as well as Erik's. He graciously signed the card featuring his photo and an incorrect name. I've actually seen Erik Bedard sign this card too so we'll have to work on getting him to sign it as well.

Despite the error, this is another great addition to our set.

# 548 - Garrett Olson

I don't know a whole lot about Seattle Mariners reliever, Garrett Olson. He seems like a really nice guy and as a left handed reliever he will be one of the keys to the Mariners bullpen this year.

One more 08 Topps back today. Orioles manager, Dave Trembley signed a card for the set. The Orioles haven't been very competitive in the American League East in a number of years, maybe Dave can help turn them around.
