# 353 - Brendan Ryan - Gold Foil

Brendan Ryan signed the Gold Foil version of his 2008 Topps card for us. This was during Spring Training before he proposed to his girlfriend during the two game series in Japan. That story probably got more coverage than it should have but I thought it was pretty cool.

# 22 - Ron Washington - Gold Foil

Ron Washington has done a nice job turning around the Texas Rangers. Leading your team to two straight World Series appearances is pretty impressive. He signed the Gold Foil version of his 08 Topps card for us during Spring Training. If you want to be a good coach like Ron Washington, get a degree in sports management.

# 173 - Jamie Moyer - Gold Foil

The other day over at Rockies camp, I scored an autograph from Jamie Moyer. As Jamie was walking towards me, I initially thought he was a coach. I guess that occasionally happens to players who are still playing at 49.

# 566 - Kevin Millwood - Gold Foil

Woo! Gold foil! One of the most boring parallels ever! That being said, I'm still glad to have a different 08 Topps card signed for our collection. Thanks, Kevin!

# 279 - Damion Easley - Gold Foil

In addition to his card from the Mets Team Gift Set, we were able to have Damion Easley sign the Gold Foil version of his regular 2008 Topps card.

One of the cool things about the autographs at the All-Star Game Fan Fest is that the MLB Authentication guys are on site. Check out the shiney authentication sticker near the upper right of our card.

# 613 - Melvin Mora - Gold Foil

In 2008, Topps decided it would be a good idea to make a gold foil parallel version of all the base cards. Instead of the regular silver foil, cards with gold foil were randomly inserted into packs.

I have very little interest in trying to get many of these signed. If I have one and have nothing else 2008 Topps-related for the player to sign then it will due.

That being said, Melvin Mora gets the distinction of signing our first gold foil card. Thanks, Melmo!
