Blog reader Dan has helped us out with some great signed 2008 Topps cards in the past. This time he's really out done himself. He sent over seven new cards. All of them are amazing!
Next up is 2004 American League Rookie of the Year winner, Bobby Crosby. This is another one that I have wanted to get signed for awhile. I was a pretty big Bobby Crosby fan during his early years with the A's. Since then he's spent time with the Pirates and Diamondbacks but hasn't played since 2010.

There was a time when I thought former Diamondbacks prospect, Greg Smith was going to be a big deal. He put up some okay numbers with the A's in 2008 but has pretty much disappeared since.

After a little break, we're back with more signed 2008 Topps cards. Fernando Hernandez made his MLB debut in 2008 with the Oakland A's. Unfortunately he hasn't been back since.

The elusive Bob Geren signed his 2008 Topps card for our set. Glad to get this one because I always seem to miss this guy or he's in a bad mood and won't sign.

Oakland A's starting pitcher, Dallas Braden signed his card from the Updates & Highlights set for us. You may remember Dallas from his perfect game & arguement with A-Rod last year.# UH 78 - Dallas BradenProgress: 401/990
Here's another base card for our set. We caught up with Daric Barton at an Oakland A's Spring Training practice a few days ago. He signed his card from Series One of the 08 Topps set.# 268 - Daric BartonProgress: 391/990
I made a trade recently with a Florida-based friend on SportsGraphing.com to pick up five signed 08 Topps cards. The f0urth is of former Diamondbacks, former A's, former Blue Jays, and current Pirates pitcher, Dana Eveland.# UH 140 - Dana EvelandProgress: 322/990
After spending last year playing for the Yokohama BayStars in Japan, Dan Johnson is back in the United States. The former Oakland A's first baseman signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays and is assigned to their Triple A team.My friend, Dan from SweetSpotGraphs.com, sent this card over with a few others that he got signed for us this year. Thanks, Dan!# 251 - Dan JohnsonProgress: 284/990
Earlier this year, I sent a few Colorado Rockies cards to a friend on SportsGraphing.com for a Spring Training 50/50. He was able to get a few 08 Topps cards signed for our set.My favorite of the five Rockies autographs we added for our set this week is from outfielder, Carlos Gonzalez. After putting up some big numbers in the minor leagues the past few years, Carlos is turning into a solid offensive threat in Colorado. His call-up last year sparked the team's turn around which ended with the Rockies winning the NL Wild Card.# UH 146 - Carlos GonzalezProgress: 270/990
Eric Patterson was an eight round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs, the same team that drafted his brother ( Corey Patterson ). Eric was traded to the A's during the 2008 season in the deal that sent Rich Harden to Chicago.# 263 - Eric PattersonProgress: 229/990
Gregorio Petit is an infielder in the Oakland A's organization. He has been called up twice over the past two seasons and has amassed a total of 25 games played.# UH 267 - Gregorio PetitProgress: 228/990
Oakland A's pitcher, Justin Duchscherer had two cards in the 08 Topps Updates & Highlights set. We posted the regular issue this morning but Justin also signed his All-Star card for us.Little known fact: Justin is a two-time All-Star.# UH 53 - Justin DuchschererProgress: 227/990
After missing all of the 2009 season, Justin Duchscherer is back and ready to take the mound for the Oakland A's. Justin has always been an extremely nice guy. He signed autographs for a good thirty minutes at the practice we went to a few days ago. Thanks, Justin! Great autograph on a great card!# UH 270 - Justin DuchschererProgress: 226/990
Ryan Sweeney was acquired by the Oakland A's in the trade that sent Nick Swisher to the White Sox. Since then, he has only played in 40 games. The Athletics will be looking to find him more playing time in their outfield during 2010.# UH 44 - Ryan SweeneyProgress: 223/990
At a Spring Training practice a few days ago Oakland A's starting catcher, Kurt Suzuki, signed a card for our set. Another nice card. Thanks, Kurt!

Next up, Mark Ellis. Mark is another veteran who has been playing in Oakland for his entire career.Little known fact: Mark hit for the cycle on June 4, 2007.# 394 - Mark EllisProgress: 221/990
This week is going to be Oakland A's week up on the blog. We'll be having two posts a day ( one in the morning, one in the afternoon ) all week long. All's A's. All signed 08 Topps cards.Getting everything started with the guy who's been wearing an Athletics uniform longer than any other current player, Eric Chavez.Little known fact: Eric won six consecutive Rawlings Gold Glove Awards ( 2001 - 2006 ).# 629 - Eric ChavezProgress: 220/990
Rich Harden? Again? Yup.At the second Texas Rangers Spring Training practice we went to last week, we were able to get Rich Harden to sign his card from Series One of the 08 Topps set.Rich is a great guy. Both days we saw him, he spent lots of time after practice signing autographs for all of the fans.# 235 - Rich HardenProgress: 219/990
It's November and Joe Blanton is pitching in another World Series. Joe was always a great guy when he was with the Oakland A's. It's great to see him having success in Philadelphia.# 436 - Joe BlantonProgress: 160/990
I figured that I wouldn't be doing as many blog posts after the regular season ended. While that has been true it isn't for the reason I originally thought. I've gotten mail and plenty of cards to post about. I just haven't had time. Between work, Arizona Fall League games, and the swine flu it's been an interesting two weeks. Not too long ago, zman40 from Autograph Cards sent us a nice little package with two signed cards. The first is of former Oakland Athletics pitcher, Lenny DiNardo. Zach was able to get Lenny's autograph during a recent trip to see one of the final Twins games at the old Metrodome.
Thanks, Zach! Much appreciated!# 14 - Lenny DiNardoProgress: 156/990
