# UH 92 - Eric Hinske

I doubt anyone was excited as I was when I found out the Diamondbacks had signed Eric Hinske. Not that I'm a big Hinske fan or anything. I just really wanted to get his card from the 2008 Topps Update & Highlights set signed.

The other day I went over to Salt River Fields to see Eric and the D-Backs and the 2002 American League Rookie of the Year didn't disappoint. Thanks, Eric!

# UH 48 - Grant Balfour

A friend on SportsGraphing.com was able to get a few Tampa Bay Rays cards signed for us through a 50/50.

The final card is of reliever, Grant Balfour. Three great cards from a team I don't get a chance to see.

# UH 296 - Gabe Gross

I remember watching Gabe Gross play in the Arizona Fall League back in 2001 and 2002. It was nice to see him again at the Oakland A's practice we went to. Always a great guy.

# 640 - Carlos Pena

Today's mail brought a signed card from Tampa Bay Rays first baseman, Carlos Pena. After subpar seasons in Texas, Oakland, Detroit, New York and Boston, Carlos resurrected his career in Tampa and was named 2007 AL Comeback Player of the Year.

It's great to be able to add another All-Star to our 08 Topps set.

# 36 - Brendan Harris

I remember when Brendan Harris was the big Chicago Cubs prospect. I was glad to be able to have him sign a few cards for me one Spring Training. Now Brendan is with his fifth organization and is a utility infielder for the Minnesota Twins.

# 354 - Edwin Jackson

Back in May we sent a card to Detroit Tigers pitcher, Edwin Jackson. Earlier this month we received it back signed! Definitely worth the wait. Thanks, Edwin!

# 138 - Dan Wheeler

Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher, Dan Wheeler signed a card for our set. Dan's put together a pretty good career and was even the Astros closer for a short time during the 2007 season.

# 166 - Andy Sonnanstine

Another good return. This one is from Tampa Bay Rays pitcher, Andy Sonnanstine. Andy was a big part of the Rays success last year. He's off to a slower start in 2009 but I'm sure he will pull it together and put up big numbers by the end of the season.
