I had heard about the silk cards but hadn't actually seen on in person. I'm not really impressed by these. I'm happy to own one but I won't be in a hurry to get more.

Silk Collection: Chris Young
One of the inserts Topps put in its 2008 set was something called Topps Silk Collection. I picked up a silk card of Padres starter, Chris Young for a dollar plus shipping off eBay. Chris is one of my favorite players so I thought it would be cool to get this special card of him.
I had heard about the silk cards but hadn't actually seen on in person. I'm not really impressed by these. I'm happy to own one but I won't be in a hurry to get more.
